At SPOON Events, safety is a top priority. To ensure a safe and compliant workplace, the SPOON Events Safety Committee holds regular meetings to discuss safety concerns, maintain OSHA compliance, and oversee training and awareness initiatives.

Ongoing Safety Initiatives:
• Monthly Tool Talk Topics: Monthly training sessions focusing on specific safety areas.
• Safety Stations: Dedicated spaces in both Macedon and Las Vegas locations for accident reports, safety manuals, data sheets, required quizzes, and key safety documents.
Emergency Preparedness:
• All Safety Officers have nearly completed Emergency Action Plan Training.
Goal:
• Expand First Aid/BLS training to supervisors in the coming year.
Recordkeeping & Compliance:
• Regular OSHA log maintenance
• New hire safety checklists
• Ongoing training signoffs
• Regular and frequent safety audits and drills
Employee Engagement:
• Safety incentive programs, themed safety talks, and promotional posters
• Review of Any Recent Safety Incidents & Near Misses
• Discussion of Hazards & Risk Assessments
• Implementation of Safety Improvements & Best Practices
• Open Forum for Employee Concerns & Suggestions
